This project involved the complete demolition of the existing fire station, which originally operated out of a repurposed grocery store, and the construction of a new, state-of-the-art fire station facility designed to meet the evolving needs of modern firefighting and emergency response. The newly constructed building features multiple façade materials and expansive glass elements, creating a visually striking and highly functional space. Scope of work included full site development, a large apparatus room for emergency vehicles, a dedicated training facility, and living quarters to support round-the-clock operations. Interior amenities include a physical therapy room, restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, serving area, dining space, and a casual room for downtime and recovery.
The new fire station is integrated with the Wayne Township Government Center, which also houses the Wayne Township Trustee’s offices and the Wayne Township Small Claims Court, fostering greater coordination between public safety and local government services. This modern facility represents a significant investment in community safety, firefighter wellness, and operational efficiency.
